Garbage Thoughts
Garbage Thoughts
Garbage Thoughts

2018

Garbage Thoughts is an interactive sculpture with a social component. Styled after the famous three-stream garbage bins used by businesses and institutions, the user is invited to identify, inventory, and (hopefully) dispose of the thoughts that persist yet have no use: The “garbage thoughts” we carry with us.

The graphics prompt users to reflect on the categories of thoughts that burden them. The provided pens and post cards enable users to write down and dispose of these thoughts, clearing their mind to make room for better things.

Mar-a-Lago Mini Golf Play Test

This is a play test for an interactive sculpture. Mar-a-Lago Mini Golf is packed with whoopee cushions and an easily avoidable tripwire — setting off a small .22 caliber powder load. With a theme inspired by our current administration, it is a blend of awkward physical comedy, frustration and embarrassment, punctuated by brief moments of terror.

Wood, astroturf, polyester, plastic toy golf equipment, rubber whoopee cushions, .22 caliber Ramset™ #2 powder loads, dental floss, steel, customized wig with bobby pins, baby powder, and hairspray

9 x 144 x 36 inches
